Equilibrium
The Equilibrium Ensemble was a project led by Drake Music Scotland and Hands Up for Trad in 2015-17, to explore the creation and performance of new music using traditional instruments and digital technology particularly to aid musicians with disabilities to compose, create and perform.
The core members of the ensemble were musicians with disabilities supported by Drake Music Scotland, along with traditional musicians Karen Marshalsay (harp) and Eilidh Steel (fiddle). New compositions are created by members of the ensemble and through collaborations with other composers through Distil.
